The Ride to Raise Awareness of Poverty and AIDS in Africa: Planning Team

The planning team is comprised of a group of individuals with varying backgrounds, united by a passionate desire to make this ride happen. We meet regularly to determine the course of the ride and set our plans into motion. Here's who we are:

Jacqui Watts
Fundraising & Beneficiary Relations

After an amazing experience on Bike Zambia 2012, Jacqui joined the planning committee to allow Bike Zambia's impact to continue to grow. Her previous cycling and fundraising experience includes a cross-country ride with Bike & Build, to raise awareness about affordable housing in the US. Aside from cycling, she has a stong interest in traveling, volunteers to help a micro finance initiative in Uganda, and lives and works in San Francisco for the nonprofit IDEO.org - working to spread human-centered design in the social sector.

Pete is excited to join Bike Zambia again next summer to create another life changing experience for this year's riders as Bike Zambia has become an important part of his personal and professional life. He is proud to be able to contribute to the continuing success of this project.
